Hi all today two of our committee members traveled to Ullswater in far north to try their hand at float plane flying.
As you can see they were successful.
Pos more info to come tomoz.
JJ.
Hi Guy’s most of you will know me, i fly an assortment of aircraft including fixed wing both powered and unpowered i also fly quads and until recently HELI’s.
When i joined the club at the 1990 AGM it was with the approval of the committee elected on that night that Heli flying was allowed even whilst fixed wing aircraft were flying.
A number of years later the rules pertaining to Heli flying were changed in that there should be separate flying times for each type of aircraft Fixed and Rotary, this is the way it has been run until recently with no problems.
As of a few days ago due to i believe very aggressive 3D flying by certain new members i find myself and others are no longer allowed to fly Heli’s.
I find this situation somewhat unacceptable when you consider how long Helis have been allowed. i personally know of one of our neighbours who has complained about this style of flying.
We as members need to try and get this problem resolved so we can return to a more relaxed type of flying (if that is possible with helis).
I feel the only way forward is to gather support and ask the committee to call for an EGM to get this resolved and if necessary eject the offending member/members.
Please contact the committee through the web site and lodge your support or not whichever you feel is right.
Thank you for taking the time to read this John Jackson.
Going flying today around 11am Mike G Tues 17th.
Hello guys & gals.
To-Day at your flying site we installed the netting on the parking area to help with any wet periods during the flying season.
On one of the photos you will see who did most of the work.
See you soon JJ…
Don’t forget – If you have any comments on the Newsletter, the Website or any matter concerning the Club, you can always contact the Committee via the ‘Contact PMAC’ form.
This is for Ian as we were talking about this earlier today.
This unfortunate end happened one Sunday at RAF Valley approx 2007.you now know why i dislike fixed wing jets,
jet choppers are the biz. JJ
